Artist Statement: My inspiration for this scene was a challenge I gave myself " Could I make a painting out of a patch of woods?" The painting is on Strathmore 500 series Bristol board. It is created using watercolors and layers of watercolor pencil and watercolor crayons used dry. I enjoy trying to find the sacred in the everyday.
